The Park, which is supervised during the summer months, offers a 1.5-km (1-mi) sandy beach, with boardwalks providing access to the beach and protecting the dunes. Other amenities include change houses, canteen, salt rinse showers, flush toilets and two large parking lots.

Inverness Beach is located in the town of Inverness off Highway 19.
A municipal beach site in town of Inverness. 1.5-km beach at the end of Beach Road #1; change house, boardwalk, lifeguard, canteen. Occasional high-surf conditions.

To get there from Sydney, head west on Route 4. Turn left at Route 247 S and follow until you get to this gorgeous beach paradise.

Ingonish Beach is the only beach in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park featuring both fresh and salt-water swimming. Services include: Washrooms and change houses, playground, picnic area, tennis courts and a canteen during July and August.
Lifeguards are on duty at both saltwater and freshwater beaches during July and August.

Black Brook Beach, in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, is 8 km south of Neil's Harbour.
The sand is washed away each winter and redeposited each spring! Black Brook cuts the beach in two. Over the course of the year, the sandspit at the mouth of the brook shifts continuously, dependent on the tides and currents. Park your vehicle in the paved lot north of Black Brook.
Services include: Washrooms, change rooms, kitchen shelter, playground and picnic area. No surf guards on duty.
