Dominion Beach Provincial Park

Dominion Beach Provincial Park
The Park, which is supervised during the summer months, offers a 1.5-km (1-mi) sandy beach, with boardwalks providing access to the beach and protecting the dunes. Other amenities include change houses, canteen, salt rinse showers, flush toilets and two large parking lots.

Inverness Beach is located in the town of Inverness off Highway 19.

A municipal beach site in town of Inverness. 1.5-km beach at the end of Beach Road #1; change house, boardwalk, lifeguard, canteen. Occasional high-surf conditions.

A 3 km, stunnng, soft sand beach with picnic facilities and boardwalk.

To get there from Sydney, head west on Route 4. Turn left at Route 247 S and follow until you get to this gorgeous beach paradise.

A municipal beach park, 22 km (14 mi) south of Sydney on the Marconi Trail, at the mouth of the Mira River.

Port Hood Beach

Port Hood Beach
A municipal beach park, downhill from the municipal building, on the right side of the rock breakwater. Warm water, change house, canteen.

Ingonish Beach

Ingonish Beach, Ingonish
Ingonish Beach is the only beach in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park featuring both fresh and salt-water swimming. Services include: Washrooms and change houses, playground, picnic area, tennis courts and a canteen during July and August.

Lifeguards are on duty at both saltwater and freshwater beaches during July and August.

Black Brook Beach

Black Brook Beach | Neil's Harbour
Black Brook Beach, in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, is 8 km south of Neil's Harbour.

The sand is washed away each winter and redeposited each spring! Black Brook cuts the beach in two. Over the course of the year, the sandspit at the mouth of the brook shifts continuously, dependent on the tides and currents. Park your vehicle in the paved lot north of Black Brook.

Services include: Washrooms, change rooms, kitchen shelter, playground and picnic area. No surf guards on duty.

North Bay Beach

4 km north of the Park Entrance at Ingonish.

A long stretch of sandy ocean beach with magnificent views of Middle Head Peninsula

Services include: Washrooms and change rooms at North Bay Operations Office and picnic area. No surf guards on duty.

Groves Point Beach

Turn left off Highway 105, just after the bridge in Little Bras d'Or. A 5km drive down Hillside Boularderie Rd will take you to Groves Point Park.

Sandy beach on the Bras d'Or Lakes. Parking, Picnic Tables, Pit toilets. No surf guards on duty.

3 km east of Boularderie East, 4 km north of Hwy 105. White sand beach, fresh water, hardwood-shaded tables, boat launch for non-motorized boats. Open May 17 - October 14.

Purves Street, North Sydney

Just past the Marine Atlantic Ferry terminal on Purves Street, you'll find Indian Beach. A sandy peninsula jutting out into Sydney harbour.

Boardwalk, Playground and frequent local evening entertainment. Great place to watch the Newfoundland Ferry leaving North Sydney.

The beach features a picnic area, changing rooms and washrooms. Accessible during the summer months via a 12-passenger ferry
